FOT (Fiber Optical Transfer)
CINET‘s 2U high 19-inch chassis type FOR, CTM-2162 containing a system controller unit, redundant AC/DC power modules and 16 slots of 10/100/1000Base-T FOT modules. All modules are hot swappable, managed through WEB GUI, CLI (Telnet and craft port). The Chassis Type products can extend Fast/Gigabit Ethernet traffics on 10/100/1000 Base-TX over 100/1000 Base-FX optical fiber.
The line cards enhance the flexibility and ability of CTM-2162 to provide EFM (Ethernet First Mile) service over fiber and copper at the same time and provide Ethernet in the Local Loop to reduce carrier expenses, since Ethernet ports are far less expensive than other options. CINET’s cost-effective, remote-managed network terminal unit series with CTM-2162 is an ideal solution for every carrier's Local Loop because it provides access regardless of the backbone technology, and cost saving which can be passed on by the carrier to consumers. It is an ideal product to provide high density Ethernet extender installation in central offices or enterprises.
CTM-2162 has remotely monitoring, setting capability, and provides loopback function for self-diagnostic. Using the management system, network administrators can easily set up, configure and monitor the whole chassis systems, which are installed remotely in different locations.
It also provides alarm status as Local/Remote TP link down, Fiber optic failure at transmission/ receiver port, card failure, Fan failure and Power failure. All the line cards of CTM-2162 which make use of a common PCB which may either be placed in the chassis or used as a standalone type.
CINET’s Ethernet Network Terminal Unit Series allows the operator to separate each user's traffic and offer services such as inter-office LAN connectivity, Internet access and virtual local area networks (VLAN). This approach extends the service over fiber, facilitating management of differentiated services up to the customer premises while ensuring service level agreement (SLA) enforcement.
ENTU 773 series is so called Ethernet Media Data Converter (MDC), It can convert 10/100/1000 BASE-TX to 1000BASE-X via optical fiber cable to extend transmission distance. At the customer premise which allows the operator to reach customer over fiber, while still providing a standard Ethernet copper connection, and being part of the operator’s network, enables the converter to act as a demarcation point between the operator and the customer. Ethernet in the Local Loop reduces carrier expenses, since Ethernet ports are far less expensive than other options, CINET’s cost-effective, remotely-managed ENTU series is an ideal fiber solution for every carrier's Local Loop because it provides access regardless of the backbone technology, and cost saving which can be passed on by the carrier to consumers.
ENTU 783 series is so called 10G fiber optical switch, or Ethernet Media Data Converter (MDC). The interface of ENTU 783 includes one 10G Ethernet port and three Optical SFP+ ports. With the physical quick setting dip switch on the back panel, the user can easily select from MDC mode to the Ethernet Switch mode. In order to interoperate with different line rates, it supports flow control which can send pause frames dynamically to control the transmitting rate so it won’t be overwhelmed with data packets.
At the customer premise, ENTU783 provides link protection, bandwidth combination and loop prevention. Deploying at the operators’ network, SNMP and RMON feature allows the operators to monitor remotely. As the functions like Q-in-Q, it can separate each user’s traffic while preserving the VLAN tag from the data. Overall, it is an ideal device to act as a demarcation point between the operators and the customers.
